Welcome to Columbia River Natural Pet Foods! We are a small family owned business, founded in October of 2000 with the goal of providing a convenient way to feed pets a healthy, raw, all natural diet as nature intended. We know that the rotation of quality protein sources plays an integral part in the successful feeding of a raw diet. We wanted to provide these choices to pet owners, so they could easily make up a meal themselves to fit their pets specific needs.
I have been fortunate to be involved in dogs for most of my life. Breeding, showing and competing in all aspects of dog sports. Our kennel name is "Pepperhaus". I and my husband are K9 handlers for

, a search and rescue team in Washington State.
I began feeding my dogs all raw foods 11 years ago, after a major injury to one of our dogs. I wanted to give him the best possible chances for recovery. I began to study all the possible benefits raw foods claimed to provide. It made sense to me that the best way to feed my dog was the way nature intended. To make a long story short, this boy thrived! Not only was his recovery amazing, I was shocked at how his overall health improved. I thought I already had a shiny, well muscled, healthy dog, but on raw foods he was even better! I took the rest of our dogs off of a kibble diet, began feeding raw fresh foods, and have never looked back.
People started to notice the difference in our dogs, and asked what we were feeding. Many people wanted to try feeding raw foods, but were afraid their dogs would choke on the whole raw meaty bones. Finding a plain, high quality, meat and ground bone product with lots of variety was a problem. With no added "extras", dogs with allergies would especially benefit from a plain food source, and all dogs would benefit from a large variety of meats and vegetables in a raw feeding plan.
I was asked to make food for my friends dogs too, and soon after I began to grind the meaty bones for my puppy owners and obedience student's dogs. They all noticed such improvements in their dogs' health that they told their friends, and their friends told their friends, and Columbia River Natural Pet Foods Inc. was born.
We use only the finest quality USDA, human grade, inspected meats. All are US-sourced, 100% antibiotic, hormone free and taste tested by our own dogs!
